By Martin Chapman on Thursday, 7th February 2002.

Just days after Carisbrooke’s announcement of plans to develop a 64-acre site on the Suffolk/Essex border, two Haverhill companies have announced plans to relocate to land in Homefield Road.

HID Corporation produce and distribute 300 electronic access cards throughout Europe, and from will expand over 17,000 sq ft of warehouse and office space, alongside parking for 40 vehicles.

Spencer Hall, of HID Corporation commenting on the expansion said: “We have 30 staff and want a more modern building. We will now be able to bring everyone together.”

Printwise, a family business started over 30 years ago by Terry and Sandra McGerty over the years has expanded taking over more units on Hollands Road. Now they have out grown the site. Their new premises will house some of the latest printing equipment.

The company caters for both commercial and industrial clients within the south east, and have design, studio and reprographic department all on the one site.
