Woman woke to find intruder in hallway
Tuesday, 10th June 2014.
An occupant of a house in Haverhill was disturbed by an intruder as she slept on the sofa during the early hours of yesterday.
At around 2.30am the woman was sleeping on the sofa in the lounge of the property in Kirtling Place when she woke thinking that her son had arrived home.
She turned towards the doorway to see a person standing in the hallway and, still thinking it was her son, called out, at which point the intruder ran towards the kitchen and out of the back door.
It was then discovered that the offender had entered the property via a rear window and while inside had stolen a set of keys and a handbag.
