Woman critically hurt in crash
Monday, 8th February 2010.
She was driving a green Renault Clio which was in collision with a silver VW Sharan around 7.15am on the last section of the bypass between Days Inn and Rowley Hill roundabouts.
Both drivers had to be cut free from their vehicles by the fire service.
A man driving the Sharan was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious chest and pelvic injuries.
The woman suffered multiple life-threatening injuries and her conhdition was described as critical.
The road was closed off between the Rowley Hill roundabout and the Days Inn roundabout until around 1.30pm.
Police are asking any witnesses to the collision to call the PC Ian Jepp at the Bury Roads Policing Unit on 01284 774100.
