Warning after burglar gets in by using open fanlight

Police are warning residents to ensure they lock their doors and windows following a burglary in Haverhill.
The incident occurred at around 4.55am on Sunday, August 10, at a house in Kirtling Place.
The burglar got in by reaching in through an open fanlight window to unlatch the larger window below.
Once inside the offender picked up a Bailey & Quinn brown leather handbag before being disturbed by the occupants and fleeing back out through the window, taking the bag with them.
Items contained in the bag included an Apple iPhone 5s and around £90 in cash.
Officers are warning residents to always ensure they have secured windows when not at home or before going to bed and to keep doors routinely locked at all times.
