FORMER World Powerlifting Champion Arthur White and his team Tough Talk, from East London, were the guests at Haverhill Methodist Church's first Men's Night at the Woodlands Country Hotel.
Around 30 men gathered to see Arthur and his team demonstrate their skills and hear his "life-changing" story.
The Men's Night was the idea of minister the Rev Charles Crane, who aims to put across the Christian message in a relaxed and informal atmosphere through the testimonies of ordinary people whose lives have been changed for the good.
He said, "We hope that this will be the first of a regular feature when we shall be inviting different speakers from all walks of life simply to share their faith."
