UNDERSTANDING BRAIN INJURY COURSE – STARTS 6 APRIL
Wednesday, 17th February 2016.
Headway Suffolk is hosting a free Understanding Brain Injury course for six weeks from April 6 for persons with an acquired brain injury or neurological condition in Haverhill.
The course is led by the charity’s clinical therapy team and will be held every Wednesday morning from April 6 for the duration of six weeks at the Burton Centre, Camps Road in Haverhill.
The therapists will help with understanding the effects of the brain injury and learning techniques to improve daily living. Attendees will also benefit from peer support with others with similar experiences and challenges.
This follows successful courses run in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds, and we now know there is a demand in Haverhill where Headway runs a satellite hub on Wednesday’s at the Burton Centre.
Each course ends with an evaluation and delegates are asked if they wish to continue meeting in Peer Groups as friendships are formed.
This may result in support from Headway at one of our day service hubs or in the local community.
As spaces are limited, early booking is advised. Contact Sue Tate on 01284 702535 or email suetate@headwaysuffolk.org.uk. Full information is available at www.headwaysuffolk.org.uk/courses.
Headway Suffolk supports 250 people who have an acquired brain injury or a neurological condition every week with rehabilitation and therapy at its hubs, in the community and at home throughout Suffolk and south Norfolk.
