Two women shoppers victims of purse thefts
Wednesday, 1st December 2010.
Police are linking two purse thefts in Haverhill yesterday afternoon, one at Tesco and one in High Street.
At Tesco between 1.30pm and 2.30pm a purse was stolen from a 66-year-old woman’s handbag in a shopping trolley in the supermarket.
A suspicious man spoke to the woman shortly before the purse was found to be missing. He is described as of mixed race, 5ft 6in tall, in his 20s, of slim build with a large nose and was wearing dark clothing and a black beanie hat.

Then in High Street, between 3.40pm and 4pm, a purse was stolen from a 40-year-old woman’s handbag in a discount store.
