Two sought after threats to man and his dog

Friday, 11th December 2009.

Police are trying to trace two men after a man walking his dog was threatened at Chalkstone Playing Fields in Haverhill on Wednesday night.

The man encountered the two men at about 9.10pm on the field next to the contruction site for the new football facility.

One of the men threatened the man and his dog before both walked off to the entrance to Samuel Ward Arts and Technology College.

There they got into a new silver Range Rover Vogue which drove off towards Wratting Road.

The man who made the threats is described as white, in his early 30s with a shaved head and was wearing a grey and black tracksuit and shiny black shoes.

The second man is described as white, in his mid 40s, of large build and was wearing a blue vest, blue jeans and black shoes.

The area has been the subject of increased police patrols due to anti-social behaviour around the construction site, but police have recently claimed the situation has improved.

Calls in relation to this incident should be made to PC Victoria Anthistle at Haverhill Police on 01284 774100 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
