Twelve-year-old robbed in high street
Friday, 7th May 2010.
A man forced a 12-year-old boy to hand over a bank card and PIN number so he could steal cash in Haverhill High Street on Wednesday afternoon.
Police are asking for help in tracking down a man of mixed race who approached the boy around 4.30pm outside a bank and demanded money.
The boy refused so the man took a bank card from the boy’s hand, put it into a cash machine and made threats, demanding the PIN.
The boy gave the PIN and the man withdrew a quantity of cash and then ran off to a small white van parked outside a pub.
The man is described as of mixed race, with dark hair and was wearing a brown jacket and blue jeans.
