Town's MP organises second jobs fair
Wednesday, 11th September 2013.
Haverhill's MP Matthew Hancock is to hold another jobs fair in Haverhill to help those who are looking for employment, an apprenticeship or advice on skills like CV writing and interview techniques.
It follows the success of his previous jobs fair in the town last year.
The jobs fair will bring together local businesses and other organisations including the National Apprenticeship Service to offer the maximum possible number of opportunities for those seeking work.
It will take place at Haverhill Arts Centre on October 11 from 10am to 12.30pm. There will be opportunities to apply for current and future vacancies, learn more about the opportunities offered by Apprenticeships as well as attend workshops. Attendance is free and everyone is welcome.
Matthew said: “I am delighted to be holding a second jobs fair in Haverhill. Last year was a great success and I hope we can help even more people this year.
“Unemployment is falling across West Suffolk and in Haverhill, particularly for young people. But there is still a lot of work for us to do to support those looking for work or wanting to try something new so I encourage anyone who is looking to drop in on the Haverhill Jobs Fair on October 11.”
