Time to apply for cash from ONE Haverhill grant pot

Are you embarking upon or thinking about a project which could improve opportunities for people in Haverhill or improve the physical environment of the town? Would you like up to £5,000 for your project?
From this week, groups and organisations can apply for up to £5,000 from a special grant pot, made available to ONE Haverhill by St Edmundsbury Borough Council. The deadline for applications is Thursday, November 13, at 10am.
Applications must demonstrate that the funding will make a real difference to the people of Haverhill, have clear objectives and plans for the project and how they will measure its effectiveness.
Applications are considered from groups which fulfil at least three or more of the following key criteria:
Provides significant benefit for the people of Haverhill;
Provides value for money;
Promotes health and wellbeing;
Promotes community ivolvement;
Supports local solutions to meet local needs;
Promotesw community cohesion/inclusion;
Works in partnership with others;
Provides matched funding;
Provides evidence of sustainability.

Sarah Howard, chairman of ONE Haverhill board, said: “We have been very impressed with the wide variety of projects that have come to us for grant funding in the past few years.
"I would encourage anyone who is undertaking, or thinking of undertaking, a project which improves the lives of people in Haverhill to apply. A sum of £5,000 is a lot of money and could make a real difference to your project and your community.”
ONE Haverhill is an independent partnership that is bringing organisations and resources together to make them more effective and efficient in the town – providing ONE voice for Haverhill.
