Thursday night van burglar strikes again

Thursday night is van burglary night in Haverhill at the moment with another three last week overnight of Thursday to Friday.
The previous week saw four vans targeted on the Thursday night.
Last week's spree hit two vans parked in Aspen Close and one in Chimswell Way.
One is Aspen Close had the driver's window smashed but nothing stolen. The thief had jemmied the back doors of the other open but found nothing to steal.
In Chimswell Way the thief broke in to a van by smashing the quarter-light and stole Makita 18v drill and a £10 note.
Timings on the first two are just over night sometime, but in Chimswell Way someone looked out at 2.33am and saw the thief break into the van.
Police say the suspect is described as male and dark-skinned, wearing a hoodie.
Haverhill's police chief, Insp Peter Ferrie, issued a warning to all works van drivers to make sure they left nothing valuable in their vans overnight.
