Thieves are targeting vehicles again

A spate of vehicle crime has hit Haverhill over the last three days with two attempted thefts of cars, one theft from a car and one interference with a dumper truck.
In Bute Court between 3pm on Saturday and 10.15am on Sunday, someone broke into a Peugeot 205 by smashing a window and stole a mobile phone, and also tampered with the ignition.
Then in Gloucester Road between 4pm on Saturday and 9am on Sunday someone broke into a Citroen AX by smashing a window and tampered with the ignition.

They are being linked with each other and with a third incident, in Rowan Close, between 8.30pm on Saturday and 8am on Sunday where someone broken into a silver and blue Mitsubishi Pajero by smashing a window and stole a sat nav.

In another incident, not being linked, in Chalkstone Way, at around 9.20pm yesterday four youths tampered with a dumper truck on a building site, starting it and then driving it across a field before abandoning it in Green Road.
