Support For Police Chief Welcomed
Thursday, 23rd October 2003.
Haverhill's police chief has welcomed the town council's public statement to support local ploice in tackling fear of crime.
Inspector Mark Jepson said the statement, made by the community first committee last Tuesday, was 'fantastic' news.
"I think the police, the town council and relevant partners should be working together continuously because, by that approach, I think we will reduce the fear of crime, I'm frustrated, like a lot of people, that Haverhill has a bad reputation and I see real benefits to this partnership. I really look forward to working with the council."
