Sudbury Sunday League football round-up

An all-Haverhill affair provided top entertainment in the first round of the Sportsguard Suffok FA Sunday Cup as Haverhill Bull played Haverhill Snooker Club.
A fantastic encounter went to extra time with the scores being 5-5 before going to penalties, Mayes (2), Warner and Miller on the scoresheet for the Bull before they went on to win 3-2.
Also in the Suffolk FA Sunday Cup, Woolpack dominated proceedings to go into round two with an 8-2 win over Acton Crown, while Mount Pleasant were impressive with an 8-2 win away to Border Athletic.
United Old Boys also managed to put another CB9-based side in the next round of the cup with a 6-3 win at home to Lavenham.
In the Suffolk FA Sunday Shield, in-form Arrendene Athletic crucified Woolpack Reserves with a solid 8-2 victory.
Barnardiston Arms were dumped out of the cup after a 8-3 defeat to Glemsford Social Club.
In the Suffolk FA Sunday Trophy, Rose Tavern were knocked out in a tight 3-2 defeat against North Street Tavern, while Barnardiston Arms Reserves lost 4-2 to Buxhall United.
