St Edmundsbury Survey On the Place We Live
Tuesday, 23rd September 2008.
Next week residents across St Edmundsbury will be receiving a new government survey, asking for their opinions about life in the local area. The Place Survey will be sent to 4000 randomly selected households by Opinion Research Services, an independent research firm carrying out the survey for St Edmundsbury Borough Council.
The survey aims to find out what local people think on issues including community safety and local decision making. The council is required to carry out the survey by the government’s Department for Communities and Local Government. Questionnaires will be posted out from Monday 29 September 2008.
Anyone aged over 18 living in the household can fill in the questionnaire, which should take about 15 minutes. A pre-paid envelope is sent with the questionnaire so it costs nothing to send it back.
To encourage people to fill in the survey, St Edmundsbury Borough Council is offering two £50 High Street shopping vouchers. Two people filling in the survey will be selected at random to receive a voucher for £50.
More information about the website is available on the council’s website at www.stedmundsbury.gov.uk, or by contacting Geoff Hinkins, Leisure Policy Officer on (01284) 757080, geoff.hinkins@stedsbc.gov.uk
