A special event is being planned in Haverhill next month to give older people, their families and their carers more information on safety, support and things to do.

Haverhill Older Persons Forum is presenting in information day at Haverhill Leisure Centre entitled Valuing Older People, on Thuesday, April 15, from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

Among the areas of information on offer will be keeping safe, in particular about Home Shield Plus in Suffolk.

There will also be advice on healthy eating and community meals, benefits, support for carers, making one's home more energy efficient, exercise and activity, equipment to help people live at home and social activities.
