Skimming devices found on high street cash machines

Police are investigating after skimming devices were found on cash machines in Haverhill High Street.
At around 7pm on Saturday a woman tried to use a cash machine at Lloyds Bank but her card was not returned.
A man approached, stating he had also had problems and took something off a second machine there.
The woman could not retrieve her card so left and later found money had been taken from her account. The man is described as white, in his late 30s or early 40s, and was wearing dark casual clothing.
Yesterday evening two devices were removed from the cashpoint at Lloyds and brought into Haverhill Police Station by a member of the public.
On the same evening a man tried to use a cash machine at the post office when his card got stuck while being returned.
He was eventually able to retrieve his card and part of the machine also came out, this was handed in at Haverhill Police Station.
People are advised to check cash machines prior to use and not to insert your card if you feel the machine has been tampered with, but call police.
When using cash machines shield your PIN and do not allow yourself to become distracted by others around you. If your card is retained ring your bank immediately.
Check your statements regularly and report any suspicious activity to your bank or lender.
