Shaun on course for life with Royal Marines

FORMER Samuel Ward Upper School pupil Shawn Nolan is about to embark on a career in the Royal Marines.
Shawn, 19, of Bailey Close, Haverhill, has been presented with his provisional acceptance certificate by Chief Petty Officer Vic Smith in Cambridge.
He is about to start his training at the Commando Training Centre for Royal Marines at Lympstone in Devon where he has already successfully completed a three-day potential Royal Marines course.
Mr Nolan's hobbies include swimming, serious physical training, cycling, most sports and computers. When he has completed his training he could find himself serving anywhere in the world either afloat or ashore.
