Sharon's new leading role ...
Thursday, 5th September 2002.
HAVERHILL'S new dog warden is Sharon Poole, a former trainee vetenary nurse.
Sharon, who has worked elsewhere as a dog warden, has two dogs of her own, Alfie and Scrappy, who sometimes accompany her on her rounds. Apart from her enforcement role, Sharon will also be dealing with stray dogs and complaints about barking, as well as giving talks to schools and groups about responsible dog ownership.
She recently warned two dog owners about letting their dogs foul a path off Howe Road and the both immediately cleared up after their pets.
She could issue £50 fixed penalty notices where appropriate.
Sharon will cover the south of St Edmundsbury, including daily visits to Haverhill. Anyone who wants to contact Sharon for more infomation or to arrange a talk can ring 01440 702271
