Seven medals stolen in Wratting Road burglary

Police are appealing for information after a burglary in Haverhill where seven medals were stolen.
The incident occurred between 7.15pm and 10.30pm on Saturday, April 20, at a house in Wratting Road. The rear patio doors were forced open and the offenders stole the medals along with a quantity of jewellery and some electrical items.
The medals stolen are as follows: General Service Medal (Northern Ireland); Operational Service Medal for Afghanistan with clasp; Iraq Medal; Long Service and Good Conduct Medal; Accumulated Service Medal; Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal; Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.
The stolen jewellery included a silver heart on a T-bar chain, a silver link chain with a pendant embedded with brown and blue gem stones, a silver T-bar link chain with turquoise and gold fleck glass heart pendant, and a gold ring with an oval amber stone.
An Apple iPad 2, a Toshiba A100 Laptop, a Blackberry Torch phone and a brown ladies Radley laptop bag were also stolen in the break-in.
Anyone with information relating to this crime is asked to contact PC Verdun Baptist at Bury St Edmunds Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
