Scouts and guides push on with fund raising

Haverhill's scouts and guides are hoping to take another step towards their fund-raising target by hosting a mince pies and mulled wine evening next Monday, December 16.
Youngsters from the town's two scout groups and guide troop will sing Christmas carols at the event, which starts at 7.15pm at the Colne Valley Road headquarters.
A Christmas draw will be held at 8pm.
The group is aiming to raise £130,000 for much-needed replacements for the existing two huts, with close to £40,000 raised for the project already.
Scouts and guides will next be helping Christmas shoppers at Sainsbury's Haverhill pack their bags on December 21 as they push towards the fund raising goal.
