Schools battle out games tournament
Wednesday, 19th June 2013.
Haverhill Tennis Club held the Annual School Games Tournament for years three and four on Wednesday, May 22, but disappointingly only four schools turned up.
Kedington made a great effort bringing along two teams. This certainly paid off with Kedington A winning the event and Hundon just edging ahead of the Clements School by one point.
Coupals School and Kedington B competed well, and the event couldn’t have gone ahead without their involvement.
The leaders from Samuel Ward Academy were excellent, having rallies with the children after each match and giving advice to the younger players.
Beth Ranson from the school games staff, organised and ran the competition with help from Haverhill Tennis Club coach, Rob Jeffs.
