School's international feel
By Martin Chapman on Thursday, 18th January 2001.
As pupils return from the Christmas holidays there is an international feel to the school.
Through a European Initiative we have students attending the school from Germany, Switzerland and this term we welcome Claudio Couto from Brazil who will be with us until July studying in the Sixth Form. We also welcome three students from Haverhill’s twin town Ehringhausen in Germany.
Later in the month we welcome a number of students on the French Exchange from Dourges in France.
The school is also looking forward to taking a party of students to Number 4 School in Komsomolsk in the Ukraine, in May. We are currently looking for sponsorship to cover part of the cost of the trip. Any interested parties should contact Mrs Merch-Chammon, in the school office on (01440) 761511.
The results of the resit exams taken in November were very successful – congratulations to all those students.
Everyone at the school wishes Mr Savage a full recovery after a short time in hospital.
