School chalks up win No.10

CHALKSTONE Middle School pupils are district atheltic champions again, after winning the event for the 10th time in the past 12 years.
Competeing against teams from Castle Hill, Parkway, Clare and Uplands, and Sudbury, Chalkstone took the overall winners title. They also won the Year 7 girls and boys events as well as the Year 8 girls and were runners-up in the Year 8 boys.
Notable firsts were achieved by Lacey Trinder in Year 7 Girls 800 metres, Caroline Weaver in Year 8 Girls 200 metres, Tom Brown in Year 8 Boys 100 metres, Daniel Manley in the Year 7 Boys 200 metres and shot, Luke Stratton Year 7 Boys 1500 metres and Holly Anderson Year 8 Girls high jump.
