Sam Ward's hive of activity
By Martin Chapman on Thursday, 28th September 2000.
WITH the second week of term now over, the school is a hive of activity.
Year 11 Geography students visited Felixstowe to collect data for their GCSE coursework. As usual students worked hard and the rain stayed away after fears the day would be very wet.
Thursday saw the mammoth task of individual and class photos for all 172 pupils in Year 9.
On Wednesday, Sixth Form pupils studying Travel and Tourism A Level were due to visit Lavenham as part of their course.
The school is now preparing for the visit of the Shadow Chancellor, Michael Portillo, MP. His visit will include a question and answer session with members of the Haverhill Sixth Form.
