Rotary club's Santa sleigh raises £750
Friday, 14th January 2011.
Over the holiday period, Haverhill and District Rotary Club was out and about raising funds for good causes.
On two Monday evenings in December their sleigh collection in Haverhill raised over £750 which will go towards Rotary funds to be distributed later in the year.
Sadly, on the Monday before Christmas, due to the bad weather, they were not able to take the sleigh out but their thanks go to everyone who donated.
On New Year’s Eve, the club held its annual 'Guess the Value of the Trolley' competition in the foyer of Sainsburys.
The winners were Mr & Mrs Clifford, pictured here with the trolley. The event raised over £200 which will be donated to St Nicholas Hospice.
Again, thanks go to all those who participated and to Sainsburys for allowing them to use their facilities
