Rockets and lead targeted by thieves

Burglars and thieves are still about, breaking into a garage to steal rockets and fireworks and taking lead from the roofs of High Street shops.
A fortnight ago police issued warnings to residents about ensuring gates and outbuildings were secure.
But between Sunday and yesterday in Chimswell Way thieves broke into a garage by forcing the lock and stole 12 boxes of agricultural rockets used in bird scarers and a box of fireworks.
The fireworks were later found in fields off Cleves Road.

And between 6pm on Tuesday and 8.30am yesterday lead flashing was stolen from the rear of five shops in Haverhill High Street.
