Richard Spring Visits Haverhill
Wednesday, 21st March 2007.
Haverhill's MP, Richard Spring, will be visiting the town on Saturday 24th March to take part in a workshop to discuss development ideas for land to the north west of Haverhill. Chris Rand, Principal Planning Officer at St Edmundsbury, has invited Richard to take part in the workshop which will be held at Samuel Ward Upper School & Technology College. The plans could see 750 new homes built in conjunction with other new facilities.
Mr Spring said: “I am totally committed to ensuring that Haverhill has the brightest possible future. It is an expanding town which has already seen considerable new housing development in recent years. I shall be viewing the plans for new homes with interest but, of course, I shall continue to call for an appropriate match in fresh infrastructure, regeneration, as well as new amenities and facilities for residents and workers.
"Collectively, as a community in Haverhill, we have to ensure that we strike the right balance for the town. I hope that many people will attend the workshop and get involved in this process.”
