HAVERHILL'S Enterprise 2000 group has finally secured a member to represent the town's retail sector.
The business pressure group has been without a retail representative for some time and has now welcomed Robin Harman, commercial manager at Suffolk Insurance Consultants, to the role.
Mr Harman will gather information from the town's retailers and put forward their comments.
He plans to write to retailers shortly to outline his function but in the meantime he can be contacted on (01440) 702633.
The group was formed several years ago to promote the interests of the town and decided to continue operating beyond the year 2000.
Its projects include one led by Richard Herbert for all the roundabouts into the town, especially the main one in from Cambridge.
All businesses in Haverhill should receive an Enterprise newsletter three times a year and anyone who would like to join the mailing list can fax details to Keith Brown on (01440) 708458.
Copies are also available for the public at the library and the Weekly News office in Queen Street.
