Remembrance Sunday will be marked with traditional parade

Haverhill is preparing to mark Remembrance Sunday with the traditional parade and wreath-laying ceremony on Sunday afternoon.
In recent years larger and larger crowds have turned out to watch the parade and follow to the ceremony for the annual observance.
The Royal British Legion parade will set off from the Arts Centre car park at 2.15pm and march down High Street and Queen Street. join in
At Lower Downs Slade the town and borough mayors and other civic dignitaries will follow the parade to the cemetery in Withersfield Road.
Around 2.40pm all will assemble at the cemetery for a wreath-laying ceremony led by the Mayor of St Edmundsbury Cllr Tim Marks and the Town Mayor of Haverhill Cllr Pat Hanlon.
This will be followed by the taking of a salute on the dais outside the council Offices as the parade marches past on its way to St Mary’s Church for the Remembrance Service, which starts at 3.15pm.
