Rehearsals begin for annual production
By Martin Chapman on Thursday, 1st February 2001.
THE second pre-sixth form information evening was held at Castle Manor last Thursday and was well attended by both inspective parents and students.
Rehearsals for the annual school production Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett are continuing at pace, led by Ms Merrion and a team of sixth formers. It looks as though this year’s play will be even more successful than past years.
This week sixth form students have been taking part in a workshop held by Max Stafford Clark, a renowned director who usually works at the Royal Court in London.
They were thrilled he was coming to the school as he was the man who commissioned Our Country’s Good which was the play performed for last years A-level exam, in which eight of the nine students were awarded grade As and the examiner thought was wonderful.
