Recycle to Help Local Charity - EACH
Thursday, 17th July 2008.
Old mobile phones, used inkjet cartridges, foreign coins left over from a holiday - these are things that many of us have lying around at home getting in the way… Well now you can clear up your clutter in an environmentally friendly way – and help to raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) at the same time!
East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) provides care and support for life-threatened children and their families in their own homes, as well as at the charity’s hospices based at Milton in Cambridge, Ipswich and Quidenham in Norfolk.
Mobile phones, printer cartridges, used stamps and foreign coins are all items that EACH can recycle, and raise money by doing so. The charity has raised over £40,000 through their recycling schemes so far, so it really does make a difference!
EACH also have a shop in Cambridge, which will gladly receive your unwanted clothing, bric-a-brac, toys, CDs, jewellery… in fact most household items! If any items are unsuitable for sale they will recycle them if they can, so this is another great environmentally friendly way to de-clutter and help EACH at the same time.
Rachel Wright of EACH commented “Recycling for EACH is a great way to get rid of unwanted items in an environmentally friendly manner, while raising money to help local life-threatened children and their families”.
