Radio presenters nearing the end of marathon charity effort
Wednesday, 8th August 2012.
There's still time to donate to a marathon charity effort being carried out by Haverhill FM, the comunity radio station.
Their 70-hour marathon broadcast finishes tomorrow at 3pm, having started at 5pm on Monday, at Days Inn hotel.
Normally the 24/7 station carries music for much of the day with a few hours community programmes and chat.
But since Monday founder Daniel Bell, along with Callum Voleman and Luke Tabram have kept the mixture of chat and community input going in an effort to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and Clic Sargent.
Callum said they aimed to raise £200 for the charities by their efforts, and he thanked Days Inn for giving them two rooms to operate from.
You can hear Haverhill FM by going to their website and even watch them struggle on through the night against tiredness via a webcam.
Helping them along have abeen a variety of guest presenters and local singers showcasing their talent.
If you want to help them reach their total you can give by going to the website and clicking onto the donation facility.
