Prisoner sought four months after absconding
Monday, 25th October 2010.
A prisoner who walked out of part of the Highpoint complex in June is still being sought by police, and has connections in Suffolk.
Residents across the county and in east London are being urged to look out for a prisoner who continues to be absent from prison without authority.
James Whitlock walked out of HMP Edmunds Hill on Monday, June 14, without authority. The 25-year-old man was serving a 33-month sentence for theft.
He is described as white, approximately 5ft 10in, of slim build and has light, brown hair.
A police spokesman said: “As well as all parts of Suffolk, he has connections to Dagenham, Chingford and Waltham Forest in east London; Maidenhead in Berkshire and the Clacton and Dunmow areas in Essex so we would ask people living and working in these areas to look out for him and contact us immediately.”
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of James Whitlock is urged to contact Suffolk Police on 01473 613500 or their nearest police station.
