Tuesday, 29th April 2014.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglary in Haverhill last week.
The incident occurred between 11am and 10.55pm on Thursday at a house in Fritton Court.
Burglars got in via an ulocked rear patio door and items including a Sony DVD player, clothing, loose change and prescription medication were stolen.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Bury St Edmunds Priority Crime Team on 101 quoting reference HH/14/783, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
* Police have put on extra patrols at night on the Birds estate after a series of similar burglaries over Easter.
Haverhill's police chief, Insp Peter Ferrie, said the burglaries were unusual and seemed to use the same method, entry via a rear door at night, either unlocked or they smashed their way in, so police were linking them.
In one case the householder was woken when the patio windows were smashed and saw two men, thought to have been speaking with East European accents.
Inp Ferrie urged anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at night to contact them.
Leaflets have been distributed to homes in the area warning people of the danger of burglaries.
