Police appeal for witnesses following dog attack in Haverhill
Friday, 22nd January 2016.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an incident that took place on Monday 18 January at 9.20am at the reservoir on Haycock Road (A1307) in Haverhill. A woman walking with her Labrador dog were attacked by a Staffordshire dog.
The dog is described as black with white patches and it was not believed to be wearing a collar. The owner of this dog is described as being a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall, bald, and was wearing a black coat and dark trousers.
The woman victim sustained bite injuries to both hands and attended hospital. The dog that was attacked had flesh type wounds to his neck and front and was treated at the veterinary surgery.
