Plenty of fun for children promised over half-term

Youngsters can enjoy a variety of sports and activities in Haverhill this May half-term holiday.
Haverhill Leisure Centre’s popular Holiday Camps will run from Tuesday to Friday, May 28-31, at the centre in Ehringshausen Way.
The six to seven-year-olds camp and eights and over camp will be offering a huge variety of activities from a range of athletics, cycling, swimming, team sports, football, basketball, racket sports, Laser Blast, squash, film afternoons, arts and crafts, and tennis. Swimming will be available for the over eights.
Abbeycroft will also be providing a variety of sports activities at St Edmundsbury Borough Council’s community picnic on the Chalkstone Estate on Thursday, May 30, from 11am to 3pm.
Amelia Epton, Abbeycroft’s children and young people programme manager, said: “There’s indoor and outdoor activities for children and young people this May half-term. It’s a great chance for children to try something new.”
The six to seven-year-olds camps cost £5 for a morning or afternoon session (9am to 12 noon and 1pm to 3pm). For the whole day (9am to 3pm) it costs £9.99 per child and £39 for the four day week. Extended hours of 8.30am to 5.30pm are available for an extra £3.
The over eights camps cost £5 for a morning or afternoon session (9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm). For the whole day (9am to 5pm) it costs £9.99 per child and £39 for the four day week. Extended hours of 8.30am to 5.30pm are available for an extra £2.50.
