Playgroup's good sports enjoy fun day
Thursday, 18th July 2002.
EGG and spoon races were the order of the day as youngsters at the Stepping Stones playgroup enjoyed a traditional sports day.
Around 30 under fives took part in the races, cheered on by family and friends, who joined in with a mums' and dads' race. Elaine McManus, playground leader, said a good time was had by all.
"They did really well and thoroughly enjoyed it," she said.
The popular group meets at Chalkstone Community Centre in Haverhill and has one more week left before breaking up for the summer.
A four-week summer session will be held and some places are available for the new term in September. Anyone interested can ring Elaine on (01440) 761018.
