Parkway Middle School's fund raising bingo evening tomorrow will have a new slant because police will be in attendance.
They are not clamping down on school flutterers, but using the event as a place to interact with the public.
During the evening there will be an interval when police can talk about crime prevention and safety issues.
"Rather than us hold meetings which people don't come to, we thought we would try going to other meetings in the community," said beat officer PC Will Wright.
"We are happy to go along to any other meetings or events."
Anyone who would like police to attend one can contact Sgt Sarah Bartley at Haverhill POlice station.
Parkway school's bingo evening tomorrow starts at 7.30pm at the school.
