Panto dame to offer residents make-up tips
Wednesday, 29th October 2014.
Pantomime Dame Sarah Trott is offering her beauty tips to local residents as she prepares for her role in this year’s Haverhill Arts Centre Spectacular, Jack and the Beanstalk.
Dame Sarah Trott (alias, BBCTV’s Really Wild Show presenter Howie Watkins) says: “I can’t wait, the Haverhill audiences are great and the Arts Centre is fast becoming one of my favourite theatres,” said Howie.
“I was thrilled when they invited me back to help Jack fight the Giant and fall in love with his leading lady, as in all the best Pantos,” he said.
“As you will see from my latest picture, I have been able to make myself look at least 20 years younger, and without the need of a safety net!
“Girls, if you want to knock the years off I recommend some lovely dark liner to contrast with a frosty pink lip and roughly one pot of sparkly eyeshadow - poison ivy green if you can get it - per eye”.
“Blusher is good, and LOTS of it, ‘the natural look’ never did anyone any favours.”
Producer Chris Gidney says he is thrilled with another quality cast assembled this year which also includes Coronation Street's Amy Forrest and West End vocalist Mitchell Armstrong.
There will be plenty of magic on hand as Jack and Jill try to conquer the beanstalk and defeat the Giant in the process.
Arts Centre manager Nick Keeble said: “We are thrilled to have such a strong stage and TV cast again for our panto this year and expect it to be more popular than ever.
"As always we are advising people to book early, particularly groups which is why we have increased the number of performances again this year. Jack and the Beanstalk is such a fun story full of legend and will have something for everyone.”
