Nick Martin Quits Town Job

The man charged with helping to kick-start the town's economy has resigned after just a year in the job.
Nick Martin left his post as Haverhill's town centre manager on Tuesday.
The ex-England rugby player came to Haverhill at the start of his local government career more than 30 years ago and was appointed by St Edmundsbury Borough Council as town centre manager in April 2006.
Mike Dawson, St Edmundsbury's corporate director, said he had accepted Nick's resignation with regret.
Mr Dawson said: "As the first Town Centre Manager for Haverhill, Nick has certainly got the town centre management group off to a good start.
"I am sure that all the town centre management group members will wish Nick well for the future."
Mr Martin's post involved pushing through the town's Masterplan Vision with a £10 million budget.
