New scheme to help businesses with energy bills
Wednesday, 13th October 2010.
A new scheme has just been launched to help small and medium-sized businesses in Haverhill and the surrounding villages, to reduce their energy bills with £1,000 funding.
The Carbon Cutter Fund has been set-up by the West Suffolk Local Strategic Partnership (WSLSP) to help local businesses and organisations reduce their carbon energy use and costs through various measures, such as building insulation, replacing heating controls or looking into their current operation and reviewing alternative energy efficiencies.
On Friday, October 15, from 9.30am an event is being held at The Apex in Bury St Edmunds where people can attend to find out more about the scheme and discuss exactly how their business or organisation can benefit from the funding.
Attending the event will be Peter Gudde, environmental management officer of St Edmundsbury Borough Council, who said: “It is a great opportunity to find out how businesses can save money and improve green credentials. We’re keen for borough and district council suppliers and local businesses to attend.”
If you’d like to visit the event and find out more about how £1,000 funding can help your business or organisation, and to reserve a place - there’s limited attendance - contact Christian Figg on 0800 0288938 or christian.figg@suffolkcoastal.gov.uk by 5pm Thursday, October 14.
