New date for education secretary's visit to Haverhill
Thursday, 28th April 2011.
Education secretary Michael Gove is to visit Haverhill's senior schools on July 14, in a rescheduling enforced by House of Commons business.
Mr Gove was due to visit, at the invitation of Haverhill's MP Matthew Hancock, last Wednesday, to see the huge progress made by both Samuel Ward Academy and Castle Manor Business and Enterprise College.
An Opposition debate on education called for that day meant he had to be in the House to answer, so he had to posdtpone his visit.
Mr Hancock announced the new date would be July 14.
