New Computer Suite Unveiled
Wednesday, 2nd July 2003.
MAYOR of St Edmundsbury Coun David Lockwood paid a visit to Kedington Primary School on Friday to officially open its computer suite.
Headteacher Val Phillips said the facility had cost between £30,000 and £40,000 and included 12 network computers for use by its 123 pupils.
It was the mayor's first visit to Kedington and his arrival in full regalia had made it a very special occasion for the school.
Mrs Phillips said: "We really are thrilled with it.
"It has been a long time coming, and it is something we have been hoping to do for a long time.
"We were able to use a redundant space to provide it and now a whole class can use it. We can develop the children's IT skills much better with suitable facilities."
