MP gets to know more about Haverhill

Haverhill's new MP, Matthew Hancock, has been out and about in the town again this morning.
At the invitation of Havebury Housing Partnership, he met the chief executive designate, Karen Mayhew, at the company’s Haverhill offices for a briefing and was accompanied by Cllr Anne Gower, St Edmundsbury Borough Council portfolio holder for Haverhill and housing.
He then received a briefing from Cllr Gower about the Hamlet Green proposal, pedestrianisation in Haverhill, and other issues and he accompanied her to see the new football stadium complex being built at Chalkstone.
During the morning they also met Gordon Mussett, Haverhill's town clerk at the Arts Centre.
Mr Hancock is holding one of his regular constituency surgeries in Haverhill this afternoon at 4.30pm at the council offices in Lower Downs Slade.
