MP all set for his third jobs and apprenticeships fair

Haverhill Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair is nearly here. It is taking place this Friday at Haverhill Arts Centre from 10am till 12.30pm. Admission is free and all are welcome.
Matthew said: “This is the third Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair I have held in Haverhill. Since 2010 youth unemployment has fallen by half in Haverhill.
"Yet anyone young and unemployed is one person too many so there is more to do. We have had a terrific response from businesses and organisations - all the stands are taken.
"In addition to the breakout sessions on Apprenticeships and cv writing, West Suffolk College will give a presentation on new Traineeships for young people. ”
Lots of great organisations are signed up and will be advertising current or future vacancies or training opportunities.
Confirmed organisations include Abbeycroft Leisure, HMP Highpoint and Allied Healthcare as well as many more. Representatives from One Haverhill, Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and Haverhill Jobcentre Plus will also be in attendance.
Breakout sessions will be run on Apprenticeships and CV writing and interview techniques. Successful local business entrepreneur Jan Cavelle will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, including offering advice on how to set up your own business.
The event has been organised by West Suffolk MP Matthew Hancock, Minister of State for Business, Enterprise and Energy, following the success of previous Fairs he has hosted.
