Motorists still being warned for illegal parking in town centre
Monday, 27th June 2011.
Nearly 60 more warnings have been issued to motorists parking illegally in Haverhill town centre during the third week of action by the town's police.
The first week saw 226, the second 70 and this third week 58. Police have been assured the double yellow lines will be repainted clearly soon by Suffolk County Council, which will allow them to move on to the enforcement stage of the action.
Their blitz is being carried out in response to mass complaints by residents at a Safer Neighbourhood Team public meeting three weeks ago.
