More music on the square follows on recent success
Wednesday, 17th August 2011.
After the huge success of the recent music night on the market square, when 4,000 people came along, the council is promoting a follow-up next week.
Hot on the heels of The Great Big Tribute Show on the August 6, Haverhill Town Council is proud to announce another night of free entertainment on the square.
At Tribute Night Two on Saturday, August 27, starting at 8pm, The Sing Out Sisters and The Jackie Generation as well as local vocalist Jade Donno, finalist in the 02 Open Mic competition, will entertain the crowds as part of the Summer in Haverhill programme.
The nights, which have become a much-anticipated event in the Haverhill calendar, are suitable for all the family.
The Sing Out Sisters will perform hits from the 50s and 60s in a high-energy show including the best pop and soul classics, complete with costume changes and choreography.
As professional session singers, the voices of the Swing Out Sisters can often be heard on TV and radio adverts as well as on backing vocals for well-known recording artists and bands
Poptastic band The Jackie Generation celebrate the era of curlywurlys, choppers and the massive chart toppers of the 1970s.
Their set includes the hits of Abba, Wings and Queen in all the best, (or should that be the worst?) of 70s fashion. The band of top-rated musicians is fronted by the glamourous vocalist Janey Bombshell.
Camps Road will be closed to traffic before, during and after the performance.
