More cash needed to complete football complex

Haverhill's community football project is still short of around £45,000, despite being near completion.
Haverhill Town Council's community first committee meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) is being asked to consider helping out by funding some things, making a loan for others and also trying to find other funding aources.
The town council is amember of the Haverhill Community Football Partnership, which is asking for the help to enable the complex, being built in Chalkstone Way, to operate to its full potential.
Two more floodlights are needed at a cost of £1,000, a specialist commercial washing machine and dryer for laundering kit would cost £5,250 and a borehole and pump to enable pitch watering and reduce water bills would cost £8,345.
Floodlighting for additional training pitches so that the football school could start will cost a further £30,000.
The town council is being asked to fund the two extra floodlights and the washing machine, make a ten-year loan for the borehole and work with the partnership to find other funding souces for the additional floodlighting.
